Picture if you will, an exceptionally warm Indian summer in North Carolina, an old pine built vine covered barn forgotten to time.
No. 8 incense brings me back to this place I knew as a child the smell of sun warmed aged pine, the wild summer gourds drying on the vines, and the remnant wafts of the tobacco that long ago were hung to dry inside.
The gentle sweet undertones I have to attribute to the large bees nest honey comb that perfumed the air when the breeze was just right, all still vivid.
Picture if you will………..
When I saw tobacco on the scent palette, I almost didn’t give this a sniff. And oh am I so glad that I did!
What a lovely combination of scents! I bought one that day and kept smelling the bag. So I walked back two days later and bought two more in case No. 8 goes out of circulation!
No. 8 also took me back to my grandparents’ home, hence the nostalgia reference. I was taken back to the woods around their home and tromping around as a kid. What a core memory! I even sent a stick to my sister to litmus test the scent. Her reaction was the same, adding that she might smell the incense all evening 😂
